Student Success Update: Contracts secured and IT Placements at Fuji and Maritime NZ

Another fantastic week of successes from our students at Learning People – with a heady mix of cloud, security and project management certifications all ensuring our students realise their potential and accelerate their careers in tech.

 

• Cameron – Having previously studied a Cyber Security Diploma from TAFE, Cameron quickly realised he needed to gain industry Certifications to gain a professional placement in IT.  He enrolled on the Learning People Cloud Collection (which includes a range of security certifications) making this the perfect alignment for his career goals in IT.  As a result of Learning People’s industry aligned training and Cameron’s hard work – he’s now working in an entry level role in IT whilst being able to also progress in his studies.

 

• Sri – Sri is a qualified engineer and had been working in the industry for some time; however, Sri wanted to work on larger projects – and needed to validate her experience with the right qualifications to do so.  With support and guidance from Learning People, Sri certified in PRINCE2 and has now gained a Technical Project Management role for Fisher and Paykel.

 

• Jasmine – Before her position being made redundant in October 2021, Jasmine had been working in the Healthcare industry in Melbourne Australia for 22 years. She was working as a temp and applying for different project related positions – but had no offers for an interview. Jasmine was a little nervous and hesitant about enrolling to complete her PRINCE2 certifications however, after speaking with Learning People she now understands the meaning and value of PRINCE2 and how important it is to be working towards these qualifications. As a result, Jasmine has recently obtained a 4 month contract working as a Project Officer.
