Corporate responsibility
Giving back to the community
At the very heart of Learning People is our desire to be a socially conscious organisation that looks after the needs of our students, our staff, our partners and our local community.
We are proud to have been active in a variety of charity programs…
Level Up Laptops
Level Up Laptops is an important campaign that provides children in the Brighton area the resources to learn online. With 1.7 million children in the UK without access to a computer at home, this cause is more important than ever. Learning People have donated £1,500 towards helping more children to learn remotely during the pandemic.

Our staff frequently fundraise for charities as individuals and are fully supported by the company. This includes Patrick Aylmer (Founder & Director) and Jonno Cox (Head of Marketing) competing in the London, Brighton and Paris marathons.
We also support local charity Brighton Unemployed Centre Families Project by offering marketing advice and guidance, voluntary time, food for their kitchens and gifts for their yearly Christmas children’s party.
Set up in 1981, the centre is run by a small team of dedicated and passionate individuals.
Providing practical support, education, and recreation for the poorly housed or unwaged people and families of Brighton, the centre is a hub of activity for the local community, and is something the Learning People is proud to be a part of.
Further to this is our everyday recycling of office material, which in 2013 amounted to 1,630kg of material. The equivalent of 15 trees and 2,110kg of carbon dioxide.
