Industry Advisory Board

Launched back in 2019 the Learning People industry advisory board was formed as part of our ongoing mission to reduce the tech and project management skills gap. Composed of experienced professionals from the global tech industry, online learning experts and government officials, the Learning People IAB not only advises on what industry is looking for but also shares insider knowledge on practical solutions for securing talent.

By endorsing learning pathways,  addressing issues faced by minority and underrepresented groups, and opening doors to employment for countless students, Learning People’s industry advisory board has reinforced our position as a ‘student first’ provider and continues to do so, all of which you can discover and explore within our IAB blog section.

Industry Advisory Board Events

Here you’ll be able to stay up to date with all Industry Advisory Board events and activities, such as our Women in Tech focused ‘importance of networking’ webinar. Featuring Gill Cooke, Head of Digital Planning & Delivery at Three, this event covered topics such as networking with neurodiversity, how to get into a male dominated industry as a woman, and how to specialise in Python development. This coding specialism was detailed and expired by Joanna, a software developer at Sky, who started off in a front-end team delivering React and JavaScript, but now works in back-end team coding Python.
