2022 Student Success Update | Monday July 18
Welcome to the Learning People Student Success update for 18 July 2022 – our regular weekly round up previewing a selection of up to the minute successes, including exams sat, certifications gained, interviews attended, and new positions attained.
Project management
Atai has her first Project Management opportunity as Assistant Project Manager with Answer Digital. She was offered more in her salary because of how well she did in her 3 interviews. She starts in September and plans to get her remaining certifications completed before her new role starts.
Emma’s career changed from Furniture Designer to Junior Project Manager at Win Technologies – and after 10 months was promoted to Project Manager. Emma spoke on a Learning People virtual seminar recently about her journey and was headhunted on LinkedIn by a Director at Expedia Group. She now joins them as their Technical Program Manager. A fantastic progression in her career.
Thomas has secured the role of Scrum Master for Lloyds Banking Group coming from an extremely varied background including working as a Rig Commander, an Electrical Contractor and for the UN in Afghanistan.
IT
Zach has just left his first IT role as Software Support/Hardware Engineer for 6 months and will now join LoneStar Leeds as a Skilled Engineer.
Code and software development
Shazaib achieved his first coding role very soon after completing his studies. This was a contract role which lasted 8 months. His next role was with a company that was not in a position to provide training or support – different to what they indicated during the interview process. Shazaib then left this role and very unfortunately caught Covid.
Shazaib referred his friend to study with Learning People who landed a role with JD Sports and referred Shazaib for an open position. Shazaib was selected out of 300 applicants and was offered the role just one hour after his final round interview. This role will provide a structured training program and a team of Developers to work alongside and learn from. The office is also only 2 minutes from his house. Shazaib is a testament to how hard work and perseverance really pays off.
A huge congratulations to all of our students on their well deserved success and progression – from all of us at Learning People.
