Welcome to the Learning People Student Success update for the week commencing 21 November 2022 – our regular weekly round-up previewing a selection of up-to-the-minute successes, including exams sat, certifications gained, interviews attended, and new positions attained.
Code
Andrew joins Leger Shearings Group as a Web Designer and impressively was the only candidate in the process that progressed to Technical Task stage. Andrew has been a regular on Career Services Interactive Workshops for well over a year but began the first Phase five months ago.
Josh started as a Junior Software Developer with Zero Finance in February this year, after beginning his CompTIA course work. In this company, he has been working with Python programming language, as well as Heroku and Django Python framework.
Project Management
Grace has become a Business Programme Support Officer with the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combiner Authority, Nonde has now joined Stantec as a Project Administrator after gaining experience as an Operational Assistant, and Beckie is joining Radancy as their Creative Operations Manager.
Oliver has acheived a long term ambition of working for L’Oreal as a Business Development Manager with multiple project management opportunities in the near future and Ben has received Assistant Project Manager offers from three different companies, Buro Four, Gardiner & Theobold, and Opera (All Architecture/Construction companies).
IT
Just two months into her CompTIA studies, Celia has now moved into Clear Thinking as an IT Technician and is set to move into 3rd Line IT Support – she has thoroughly enjoyed her first year with the company.
After being an Avionics Supervisor for the last 6+ years, Gareth has now successfully joined Lockheed Martin as a Flight Simulator Engineer, where he will create designs, integrate software and hardware systems, validate design implementation and do testing, fault finding while engaging with aviation regulation authorities.
Nuray is joining Protos Network as a Network Security Analyst which is a career change from being a Restaurant Management to a cyber security professional.
