2023 Student Success Update | Monday April 03

Welcome to the Learning People Student Success update for the week commencing 03 April 2023 – our regular weekly round-up previewing a selection of up-to-the-minute successes, including exams sat, certifications gained, interviews attended, and new positions attained.  

 

IT

David has now successfully changed career from Research & Development Chemist to Technical Support Specialist with Gamma, and Dave has been promoted by his current employer Vectra AI, from Cyber Security Analyst to Associate Cyber Security Manager (CSM).

Costel got his first job in IT as an IT Support Technician with ServiceTec and Ben has now secured his first job in IT as a Support Analyst for Iplicit – a Cloud Accounting Software House. He is recently CompTIA A+ certified and was approached by a recruiter about the role. Two interviews later, he got the job on a starting salary higher than his current role.

David has found his ideal employer – TBA Group, a global leader in operating systems for logistics optimisation. He will be working as a Service Desk Analyst after just one interview!

Darren has become a Server Support Specialist with the British Transport Police and Nilesh has secured a contract Penetration Tester role while he is in India to help build up his commercial experience before he returns to the UK to look for a full-time Cyber position.

 

Code

Cameron is now a Junior Software Developer for Kinetic and Swapna has been given an offer as Software Tester with White Label Loyalty.

 

Project management

Andrea has been promoted by her current employer, LaSalle, to a Senior Project Coordinator and Julia has career changed from Education to Civil Service starting with ACAS as a Helpline Manager.

George is now a Project Coordinator for Vodafone and Marcella has become a Project Coordinator with Turner and Townsend in Dublin, she said having studied for her CAPM was the thing that made her stand out for them as a candidate.

Alan has become a Senior Operations Manager with the NHS and Leon has been promoted internally to Deputy Team Lead at AIB which is a Tier 2 position, providing an opportunity next year for him to apply for Tier 3 Project Manager roles.

Phillip has joined Sodexo as a Project Support Officer and Mmeli has completed an internal move from Assistant Project Manager to Finance Programme Manager at Ecorys.

Lauren joins W12 as a Junior Project Manager and Joseph joins Procar as a Project Manager within the Construction industry.
