2023 Student Success Update | Monday April 24

Welcome to the Learning People Student Success update for the week commencing 24 April 2023 – our regular weekly round-up previewing a selection of up-to-the-minute successes, including exams sat, certifications gained, interviews attended, and new positions attained.  

 

Code

Sonia is now a Junior Software Developer for Government Digital Service and Holly has been offered the position of Software Quality Engineer with CapitalOne.

Jamie is now working as Data Analyst with Tandem Bank in London and Fay is now working as a Web Developer with Spaced Digital.

Evan has been hired as Digital Operations Manager for 121 Systems and Joanna has completed 6 hackathons, and been offered 3 different positions. She’s decided on the position of Junior Software Developer with her existing employer Anthesis Group which represents an increase in salary and the opportunity to work with Python.

Atvars is now a Junior Software Developer with Health Partners Europe and Dorin has now joined Glendale as a Junior Web Developer which is his first permanent role after successfully completing a number of freelance projects.

 

 

Project management

Julia had recently accepted a Civil Service role as Helpline Advisor with a view to it opening up to Project Management opportunities, but while going through the employer checks, she was offered the role of Project Manager for the Rural Payments Agency (part of DEFRA) which she has accepted instead.

And Samantha is now working as a Project Manager with Prodo. The role is 100% remote, across a 4-day week, and represents a salary uplift for her too.

 

IT

Dominic has been promoted to Senior DevSecOps Engineer at DC Thompson and Joshua has joined Christ the Redeemer College as an IT Support Assistant.

Maryjane is an Associate Cyber Risk Analyst at Kroll and Victoria is now a 2nd Line IT Support Specialist at EY.
