2023 Student Success Update | Monday January 16
Welcome to the Learning People Student Success update for the week commencing 16 January 2023 – our regular weekly round-up previewing a selection of up-to-the-minute successes, including exams sat, certifications gained, interviews attended, and new positions attained.
Code
Lewis has successfully started as a Full-Stack Developer with a Data Management Centre company called Aiimi and is working with React, JS, and Python. This new role will also provide him with opportunities to complete Cloud certifications in the near future and Reece has now become a Junior Software Engineer for Saville Assessment.
IT
Alexandra is thrilled to be starting as an Information Security Analyst with Reeds, and says she couldn’t have done it without Career Services support – especially with interview preparation. Next for Alexandra is the CEH certification having now completed her PenTest.
Caiti is now working with Turnkey as a Graduate Cyber Security Consultant, which was all a result of her battling barriers around networking and speaking with ex colleagues and then working intensively on interview and presentation sessions.
Leanne is starting a new role as Project Coordinator with cyber security specialist organisation SEP2 and plans to move into a more technical role in the next few months while she studies her CEH.
Project management
With a background in TV & Film Production, Eleanor has now changed career to become a Junior Product Owner building FinTech products with a core focus on Data Science & Analytics for SmartPensions.
Olivia has been promoted from Project Support Officer to Project Manager at the NHS Ambulance Radio Programme and having now completed his PRINCE2 Foundation, Practitioner and Agile certifications, Philip has now joined Helix a premium electric powertrain company as a Project Coordinator.
Chantelle has been promoted to IT Project Manager with her current employer Off the Wall, having now completed her PRINCE2 Agile. And Shona has joined Smart DCC as an Incident Manager following a year as an Operations Analyst at ElectraLink.
