2023 Student Success Update | Monday January 23
Welcome to the Learning People Student Success update for the week commencing 23 January 2023 – our regular weekly round-up previewing a selection of up-to-the-minute successes, including exams sat, certifications gained, interviews attended, and new positions attained.
IT
Yasmin has now secured her dream job as Junior Cyber Exercise Planner for Inzpire Ltd, who are an award-winning supplier of defence managed services – and a trusted partner of the UK Ministry of Defence (MOD). She has changed career from being a Solicitor and has always had a passion for social justice. She acted pro bono for a military mental health charity in their purchase of woodland which is now used as a holistic outdoor therapy centre for veterans suffering from PTSD.
Paul has secured the role of System Support Specialist at KBR Inc, and Junaid has accepted an offer with Morley College London for the role of IT Services Technician. He has also just completed a final round interview with Utility Warehouse for a Technical Operations Analyst role – hoping that he will get the opportunity to decide between the two, and Chiamaka is delighted to be starting with Oracle as a Healthcare IT Configuration Analyst having now passed her PRINCE2® Practitioner.

Phillip has moved into an Automation Test Engineer role with GlobalStep after working as a QA Tester, and Naomi who has now completed her Front-End Developer course has in her own words “finally found her place in the world”. This is a result of her recent networking where she secured an interview with e-Commerce tech company Daemon – for a role that wasn’t advertised – and she will soon join them as a Junior Front End Developer. She will also join our next Career Services online workshop which focuses on networking to progress your career.
Elijah has recently secured the role of a Junior Front-end Developer which is a new promotion that they achieved within 3 months of being in their new role and Carl has finished 4 Coding Projects with us and is working in an IT Trainee role with Ordinance Survey.
Project management
Megan who was featured in our recent project management virtual seminar has just secured a promotion from Lead Senior Physiologist to Business Manager at Health Partners UK and Adetomi has received an offer with UK FAO Reference Centre for Antimicrobial Resistance (working with a Veterinary Medicine Doctorate team) as a Senior Executive Officer.
