2023 Student Success Update | Monday January 30

Welcome to the Learning People Student Success update for the week commencing 30 January 2023 – our regular weekly round-up previewing a selection of up-to-the-minute successes, including exams sat, certifications gained, interviews attended, and new positions attained. 

 

IT

David has now been promoted to 2nd Line IT Support Engineer after less than a year at Labyrinth Technologies. Which is a long way from where he started as a Chef pre-certification.

Craig who changed career from Stock Controller to Cyber Security has now been promoted to a Threat Intelligence Analyst after just 1 year at Quorum Cyber.

George is changing career from IT Recruitment and Account Management to InfoSec Consultant with Cyber Security Specialists and will be getting exposure and training on PenTesting, ISO and vulnerability scanning.

 

 

 

 

Project management

Tom has just accepted a project management role with Action West London which is a career change from being a Waiter and a Customer & Trading Manager at Sainsbury’s.

Faiza has just been offered the position of Lead Project Management Officer with AIB in London – and Jordan has had 2 offers, one with WH Smith as a Finance Project Coordinator and one which he has accepted as a Trainee Project Manager for Swish Fibre.

Metaxoulla has just accepted the role of L&D Partner with D&D London and Pratik has now started a new role as Project Manager for BDO UK LLP an Accountancy & Business Advisory company and will be working on an implementation project transforming their IT Systems.

Carol has now completed her PRINCE2 certification and is studying towards her Six Sigma. Her career journey is starting with Airtech as Production Operator where she will have the opportunity to fast-track her progression.

 

Code

Taylor has received 4 job offers within 2 months and is now starting with retail giant Regatta and will be working on their Craghoppers website – specialising as a Junior Front End Developer using Vue.js. Taylor is thrilled to be specialising as a Front End Developer and is also keen to mentor and guide existing and new Learning People students.

And Philip who is working through his last Full-stack coding projects is joining Sparta as a Junior DevOps Engineer.
