2023 Student Success Update | Monday March 06

Welcome to the Learning People Student Success update for the week commencing 06 March 2023 – our regular weekly round-up previewing a selection of up-to-the-minute successes, including exams sat, certifications gained, interviews attended, and new positions attained.  

 

 

Project management

Tony has now joined Essex County Council as a Project Support Officer having spent the last year as an IT Business Analyst with Alexander McQueen.

Mario is due to start a Project Coordinator role with with Unikrn. This is a great achievement for Mario who has been an huge e-sports fan for more than 10 years. He felt an instant connection with their team during his interview and was offered a higher salary than he requested. Unikrn have also confirmed that Mario has the opportunity to become a Project Manager in one of their new office divisions in London within 6 months of starting.

Connor has been promoted to Lead Learner Success Coach with Decodable. And Matthew has been making amazing progress in his new company, he joined in November as Project Officer with MBDA and has now been promoted to Manufacturing Project Manager within 5 months.

Olumide has become a Project Coordinator for RWS, who are a company that specialises in IP and Tech solutions.

Chantelle has just completed her career change from Education as both a Teacher and Tutor Trainer to Project Management by joining the University of East London as Lead Partnerships Officer. And Isiaka has been offered the role of Assistant Project Manager with EDF Energy.

 

 

IT

Muyiwa has been offered a 6 month contract with the European Space Agency as an IT Support Technician. He’s very excited to start with them as they are about to migrate their systems to the cloud which means he will be able to put his CompTIA Cloud+ and AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner certifications into action. This also means that he will have the opportunity to explore new internal Cloud roles as they occur in the coming year.

Chris has now successfully changed career from being a Mechanic to a Junior Technical Consultant with Crown Workforce Management.

Dominic has worked really hard on both his studies and interviews and has now been given an offer of Junior SOC Analyst with a Cloud solutions company called SiXworks. And Daniel is now a 1st Line Engineer for ARC (UK) Systems.

 

Code

Charlie has recently interviewed with Fleet Solutions – NHS car leasing for a Software Developer role and has been offered the position. This represents a 6K salary increase and also provides flexible/hybrid working which is something Charlie was looking for.

Ethan is joining InDev as a Junior Developer Apprentice, Jamie is joining NorthRow as a Technical Support Executive, and Robin is leaving Hospitality behind to join CommittedGiving as a Junior Developer.
