2023 Student Success Update | Monday May 08

Welcome to the Learning People Student Success update for the week commencing 08 May 2023 – our regular weekly round-up previewing a selection of up-to-the-minute successes, including exams sat, certifications gained, interviews attended, and new positions attained.  

 

 

IT

Chris has now completed his career change from Physical Security Officer to Information Security Officer with Liberty Global, who’ve taken him on as a result of completing his CompTIA Security+.

Preetesh has now secured the position of IT Support Specialist for Watches of Switzerland and Sorin-George has just completed a 6-month contract as an IT Specialist with Atos. They have now moved into a permanent position as Information Technology Engineer with dnata.

And Otis has now become a Data Analyst for Burberry.

 

 

Project management

Isobel has been offered a Project Manager position with Network Rail Apprenticeship pathway where she will earn a degree in project management while working with them. This is a result of an intense interview process consisting of 8 rounds of interviews (which were mostly AI). This is a big change for Isobel who is career-changing from currently working in a salon.

Daniel has secured the role of Project Manager with Enny Space, a sister company of his current employer. His employer became aware of him undertaking PRINCE2® certifications and requested him to be the project management lead for their tech implementation project. He’s also managed to secure a second part-time position as Junior Project Manager with start-up Appmakr, where he will work weekends while managing work with Enny Space.

Samuel is now working as an Assistant Project Manager with Turner & Townsend on defence projects, Juliet has joined Bilfinger as a Junior Project Manager and Lara is now a Timetabling Consultant at Escentral.
