How do you know if I’m ready for my exam?

In your training, you’ll find that each module has a small test at the end which we advise you complete in order to move on to the next module. When you get to the end of a course within your training package, there’s also another opportunity to practice, named the “test prep practice exam”.

If you’ve got to this point in your training, well done, you’re nearly there. The best indicator of whether you’re ready for your final exam is the score you get in the test prep. If you’re taking a business-related course, you’ll need to be achieving a score of at least 80%, and if you’re taking an IT course, your score will need to be at least 90%. Also, any of the test scores from your modules you completed over 2 months ago will have to be brought up to date simply by retaking the test.

When you’ve reached the point where you’re scoring above 80% for project management courses or 90% for IT courses, and all of your module test scores are up to date, drop us a line to exams@learningpeople.co.uk and the team will do a quick health check to make sure, not only that you’ve finished all of your training, but that you can confidently expect to pass that exam first time. They’ll then guide you through the exam booking process – also detailed below – so you’ll have everything you need to gain your new certification ready to take the job market by storm.

Can I book my exam myself?

Once you’re confident that you’re achieving high scores in your modules and test prep, you can book your exams yourself by following these instructions.

CISCO EXAM BOOKING PROCESS

1. Go to the Pearson Vue website to set up a Cisco profile, or login if you have an existing account
2. Once you have successfully created a web profile or logged in, click ‘View exam’
3. Select the exam you are looking to book
4. Choose your preferred exam language out of the options available
5. Select ‘Schedule this exam’
6. If you have been provided with an exam voucher by the Learning People you can now use this for payment
7. If you have not purchased a training package that includes the cost of your exams, you can check out using your personal payment details

COMPTIA EXAM BOOKING PROCESS

1. Go to the Pearson Vue website to set up a CompTIA profile, or login if you have an existing account
2. Once you have successfully created a web profile or logged in, click ‘View exam’
3. Select the exam you are looking to book
4. Choose your preferred exam language out of the options available
5. Click ‘Schedule this exam’
6. If you have been provided with an exam voucher by the Learning People you can now use this for payment
7. If you have not purchased a training package that includes the cost of your exams, you will must continue to check out using your personal payment details

MICROSOFT EXAM BOOKING PROCESS

1. Go to the Microsoft exam page.
2. Click on the exam you are looking to book
3. Click ‘Schedule exam’
4. If you already have an online profile with Microsoft, you will now be asked to log in
5. If it is the first time you have used the site, please click ‘Create an account’
6. If you have been provided with an exam voucher by the Learning People you can now use this for payment
7. If you have not purchased a training package that includes the cost of your exams, you can check out using your personal payment details

PMP/Agile/CAPM EXAM BOOKING PROCESS

1. Go to the PMI login page
2. If you already have an online profile with PMI, you will now be asked to login
3. If it is the first time you have used the site, please click ‘Create an account’
4. Click the tab at the top of the page titled ‘Certification’
5. Scroll down and click on the relevant course that you are looking to book the exam for
6. Scroll down to the section titled ‘How to apply and prepare for the exam’ and click the link that says ‘Register and login to our online system’
7. Follow the prompts to complete the online application
8. If you have purchased a training package that includes the cost of your exam fees with the Learning People, please save your application at the point of payment and contact StudentCare on  Freephone 0800 0141 311 or 01273 907 919  they will arrange payment directly with PMI
9. If you have not purchased an exam package you can complete the application with your payment details and the PMI will contact you directly to confirm your exam authorisation
10. Once you have received your exam code directly from the PMI, please visit the Prometric page to schedule your PMP exam on your chosen day and the Pearsonvue page to schedule your Agile or CAPM exam

PRINCE2 FOUNDATION EXAM BOOKING PROCESS

1. To book a PRINCE2 exam you need to score a minimum of 80% overall in your course. This will generate a distinction award.
2. Email a screenshot of this award to exams@learningpeople.co.uk .
3. Make sure you choose dates at least five days ahead of your exam request.
4. Once the dates have been requested for you, you will receive an email from PeopleCert with further instructions on how to book the exam.
5. You can find a copy of the PRINCE2 syllabus and access a full sample paper with accompanying marking scheme and rationale on the Axelos website.
